5% back to volunteers
Every month, we donate 5% of revenue to a volunteer fire or EMS agency.
The 5% Commitment
Every month, 5% of revenue goes back to the community
Volunteer fire departments and EMS agencies are the backbone of emergency response in communities across America. They run on tight budgets, aging equipment, and the dedication of people who give their time for free.
We commit 5% of our total revenue—not profit, revenue—to supporting these organizations. Each month we select a volunteer fire or EMS agency, prioritizing our own customers, and make a direct donation.
It's our way of saying thank you to the community we're building for.
How it works
At month's end, we calculate 5% of subscription revenue
We select a volunteer agency, prioritizing Muster customers
Funds go directly to them—no middlemen
We write a short blog post highlighting the recipient

The Founder
Our scheduling software got too expensive, so I built something better.
I'm Jacob, a software engineer and volunteer EMT at Larchmont VAC. On the scheduling committee, I watched our software costs climb year after year while the features we needed stayed the same.
Volunteer organizations run on tight budgets and even tighter time. They deserve tools that respect both—not software designed to extract maximum value from its customers.
So I built Muster—scheduling software designed for volunteers, by a volunteer.
